Earth Connection Community ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website earthconnection.org (our "Website") or use our ECC Music mobile application, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

8. SMS/Text Messaging Privacy Policy

Earth Connection Community offers an optional SMS text messaging program to provide ceremony and event updates to members of our community. By opting in to our SMS program, you agree to the following:

Consent and Opt-In

By providing your phone number and opting in to our SMS program, you consent to receive text messages from Earth Connection Community related to ceremony schedules, event updates, and related logistical information. Consent is not a condition of purchase or participation in any ceremony or event.

Message Frequency

You may receive up to 10 messages per month. Message frequency may vary based on ceremony schedules and community events.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Please consult your wireless carrier for details regarding your text messaging plan.

Information Collected

Our SMS program collects your mobile phone number for the sole purpose of delivering text messages you have opted in to receive. We do not sell, rent, share, or provide your mobile phone number or your messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is stored and processed by our SMS messaging provider solely to deliver the messages you have opted in to receive.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from our program.

Supported Carriers

Our SMS program is supported on all major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. ECC Music Mobile Application

The ECC Music mobile application ("the App"), available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, is a members-only app for listening to community music and receiving community updates, published by Earth Connection Community. The App is a client of our own systems — your account and its content are hosted on our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare. The App contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking frameworks and does not engage in cross-app tracking.

Information We Collect

• Account registration: Your full name, email address, and phone number. Your email is used to send a one-time sign-in code — no password is created or stored.
• App activity: Which tracks, videos, and updates you save as favorites, linked to your account so your favorites follow you across devices.
• Playback state: Your current playback position, which may be stored locally on your device so you can resume where you left off.
• Downloaded content: Audio you download for offline listening is stored in the App's private storage and is not accessible to other apps.
• Device & app information (bug reports only): Device model, operating-system version, App version, connectivity status, and an anonymized member identifier — collected only if you choose to submit a bug report.

The ECC Music app does not collect your precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, advertising identifiers, or any other device data beyond what is listed above.

How Your Information Is Stored

Your account and activity are stored securely on infrastructure operated by our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We do not sell your personal information, and we share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate the App and are bound to use it solely for that purpose.

Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your account data until you delete your account. To permanently delete your ECC Music account and all associated data, open the App and go to Settings → Permanently Delete Account.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adult members of our community. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

10. Shipibo Learning Mobile Application

The Shipibo Learning mobile application ("the App"), available on the Apple App Store, is a Shipibo-English dictionary and language learning tool published by Earth Connection Community.

Data Collection

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. No account creation is required. All dictionary data is stored locally on your device.

Bookmarks

Any bookmarks you save are stored only on your device using Apple's on-device storage. This data is not accessible to Earth Connection Community or any third party.

Analytics

The App does not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising frameworks.

Network Access

The App does not connect to the internet. All functionality is available offline.

Children's Privacy

Because the App collects no data of any kind, it is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
